Rob Greenly’s specialty is coaching physician leaders for success in health care, biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies.  His coaching “transforms smart professionals and high achievers into influential leaders.TM”  Rob leverages his deep expertise to help his clients succeed at work and lead more satisfying lives.  His clients give Rob rave reviews for successfully guiding them and their teams through complex situations.

Rob draws upon his own firsthand experience as a senior leader and shares lessons-learned from his tenure as Director of Leadership at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Director of Organization Development and Training—Astra Pharmaceuticals, Vice President of Leadership and Organization Development—Boston Scientific, and Chief Administrative Officer for Human Resources—Putnam Investments.

Rob earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and his MBA from the Yale University School of Management.  He is the first and only Harvard College graduate to be elected President of the Yale Alumni Association of Boston.  He currently serves on the Association of Yale Alumni Board of Governors.  Rob was nominated for the 2013 Executive Coach of the Year by the International Coaching Federation—New England.  He is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), undertook advanced training to become a Certified Physician Development Coach, and is certified in a number of assessment and development instruments.

Rob’s direct healthcare experience includes work at the Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge-Somerville Mental Health System, and New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.  He has coached and/or consulted on a wide range of management, leadership, team, and organizational issues for AstraZeneca, Atrius Health/Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, Biogen, Bio-Rad Laboratories, Covidien, CVS/Pharmacies, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Fallon Community Health Plan, General Electric, Genzyme, Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan, Harvard Medical School, IBM, Johns Hopkins University, Merrill Lynch, Nemours Children’s Health System, The Medicines Company, National Institute of Corrections, Northeastern University, Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, SAP North America, UMass Medical Center, U.S. Navy, and many others.

Rob has delivered leadership workshops at the MIT Sloan School of Management and has been a guest lecturer at Bentley College, Simmons College, Harvard University, Suffolk University, and Tufts University.  He has presented at national conferences, was quoted in The Wall Street Journal and in The Boston Globe, and was featured in Fast Company magazine’s “Leading in the East Roadshow.”  Rob co-authored “Command Effectiveness in the U.S. Navy.” He is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association and was a licensed coach for Newton Girls Soccer.  A native of South Carolina, Rob brings southern charm, a slight drawl, and dogged client-centered assertiveness to all of his assignments.  He resides in the Boston area with his wife and daughters.
